okay, i really want to bond my 6 guinea pigs, but i know that realistically it won’t work. does anyone have any tips, advice or anything about this?
could it ever work?
is it just an incredibly stupid idea?
if i were to do it, what would be the best way to bond them?
will i be able to keep the original pairs if it doesn’t work?
how much space will they need?
is a 291 cm by 127 cm cage big enough? if not, how much bigger would it need to be?

I agree with @VickiA
Not to mention that if you do try to bond them all together you run the very real risk of having them all fall out and ending up with lots of single piggies who won't accept their previous partner back.
Three boars and three sows together will not work and will definitely result in fights.

It doesn't work. I had 2 boars with 3 sows and it worked for 18 months but ONLY because Velvet was :yikes: :yikes: DA BOSS:yikes::yikes: (cue music from the Shower Scene of Psycho). One of my boars decided he wanted to take over being top piggy and subtley bullied the other boar so I had to separate the herd. Learn from my experience and please don't even attempt it.

No, it wouldn’t work, the males would all fight over the females and then all the males will have to be split up. I recommend getting your girls a nurtured male if you want to have a male with your girls.
