Hi there i have just read the boars thread and am sure my problem is solved but wanted to get an 100 % answer too so thanks in advance for any replys.
I have 2 young males about 6 months old now. Scruffy is the more timid and shy one and scrappy the adventurous, outgoing always at the front one. they have been together from babies and at moment live indoors although they do have a nice new big outdoor cage to move into when the time is right (which i think might be now lol) from being little scruffy has always been the one doing all the first move and noise in confrontations (bum wiggling chattering head higher etc) but over last few days it seems to have be complete turn around and scrappy is now the one making the first move. sorry if this is a rubbish way to decribe it but its as though he is trying to put his head on the back of scruffy. I am really hoping someone will tell me its normal boy teen behavior and doesnt mean they need seperating for good as they seem to get on so well rest of the time (sleep together ) My second part of the question is is it time for them to have more space and go live outdoors ? i have been such a softy and keep saying its to cold for them when in fact its more me i love them indoors as they sit in my dinning room and talk to everyone who comes through the doors!
sorry this has been long and thanks again for any advice anyone can give me !

hi i wouldn't worry about your boars it sounds very normal;)but with them going outside introduce them slowly maybe a couple of hours and leave them out a little longer each time if its a sudden indoor to outdoor change they can get sick and feel the cold much more so do it gradually. As long as they have a nice warm bed with lots of hay I'm sure they will be fine;)goodluck

I agree with PLEASEHELPSAVEboris, I don't know where you live but I had unexpected frost last night. Maybe put them out during the day and bring them in at night for a few days to get them used to cooler temperatures. Then leave them overnight if it turns nice and mild again. Sure they will be fine tho, I put mine out 2 weeks ago when it was fairly mild and they're all ok.

thanks so much for your help i have been putting them out for a few hours at a time when the weather is good and was thinking of putting them out full time when the weather is better everyday but on good days till then. i was just concerned about there friendship while in indoor cage there outdoor cage is big homemade doubole teir cage so they will have tons of room to get away from each other if they need time apart.
Thanks again
