Teenage Guinea Pig
Hi
I collected two, seven week old guinea pigs today. I have had Guinea's before but this was many years ago.
They have a two storey hutch and are currently in the top level which has their bed, food and water and the ramp to the bottom level.
I am now worried that I have done the wrong thing and shouldn't have put them in a two storey hutch. Reason being that I have now been told that baby guinea pigs shouldn't be in a two storey hutch and could injure themselves.
Should I remove the ramp and try to block the gap (not even sure if I can do that) or will they be ok? I'd feel awful if they fell and hurt themselves.
I plan to order a ramp tunnel from cosy cavies but am worried they might fall in the meantime and while they are so little
Any advice?
Thanks
