Hi! Your two boys have unfortunately hit the teenage hormones and are not working out as a pair if they are clashing that badly so early on and with another 10 months of hormones still to go. How big is their cage?

Unlike with rabbits, neutering boars will not bring them back together, but it will enable them to live with a sow each after a six weeks' post op safety wait. Cross gender bondings are the most stable of them all once initial acceptance has happened. I would strongly recommend to look for either a general vet with plenty of guinea pig neutering practice or an exotics vet with experience in small animal ops. We have got a piggy savvy vet locator on the top bar. We have also got a good standard rescues locator so you can date your boys under expert supervision to make sure that you end up with two love matches and no accidentally pregnant/completely healthy sows. You can consider keeping the pairs on top of each other, so you do not lose any more space.
PS: I have got a surprise baby courtesy of a supposedly safe over 5 weeks post op boar, just to make the point of the 6 weeks wait.

Please make sure that you disinfect their wounds and have them checked by a vet if there have been bite wounds. You can make saline solution by mixing 1 teaspoon of salt into 1 pint of boiled, cooled water; alternatively you can sterile saline at your pharmacy. Keep an eye out for potential abscesses in the days to come and see a vet asap.

I'm really sorry. It sounds like they dont get on if there has been blood and wounds. If you neuter them this sadly wont alter their behavior.

I cant tell how big your cages are from that photo, males need a minimum of 120cm x 60cm which really is the minimum, more is better. Each boy needs his own bowl, water bottle and hidey. Are they getting lots of play time out of their cages? That can affect how they get on, if they are energetic but cooped up a lot.

The cage is 120x60 cm but they don't get play time outside a lot however we cleaned cage n watched them closely they purred n started fighting jumping in midair sawdust flying everywhere too :( felt awful so put the other cage n separated them

They maybe ok living side by side so they can chat and smell one another, two of my boys did that after blood was drawn, they never rebonded however. I did manage to bond one of the boys when the other died, with a new buddy but it takes time and care, I'm not an expert but that's what worked for me xx

They will be able to interact with each other and chat (or taunt) each other through the bars and whilst its not ideal its much better than them living as single boars. You can always stack the cages on top of one another temporarily when you need the space.
