I got 2 small male guinea pigs and the winter is hitting us. The 2 poor boys are living outside in a hutch (120cmL x 61cmW x 88cmH) and I am unable to bring them inside.
Currently, I have a tarp over the hutch to keep rains out and a warm pillow inside their hutch, but I believe these are not enough for them.
Thinking of finding ways to insulate inside the hutch, maybe with earth wool? or a butch of hot pillows and hay. (trying to keep on a low budget but also don't want my poor boys getting stress and sick)

Any advice on what to do?

Snugglesafe heat pads that you microwave keep piggies warm for hours. Extra insulation by way of cardboard boxes stuffed with hay also work well.

@Betsy I know has some really good insulation for her outdoor herd.
Mine are indoors so I can’t answer the question.

Welcome to the forum and please can we see pictures

Mine have an insulated hutch cover and on top of it is a thermal cover. They are made for my hutch. If your hutch is a standard size then you may well be able to get these covers where you are. I can't link in on this device. I got them from Scratch and Newton
