1st Bonding Session!

This afternoon we introduced my lone single foster boar, who is approx 6 months old, to the quietest of the three foster boar brothers, who are approx 5 months old. They have been living in adjacent C&C cages with me since 23rd Dec and before that in adjacent cages. We are really hoping that we can achieve two pairs of happy boars. 1st date not too dramatic, some chasing about,a few humping episodes from both piggies, no nipping and no fisticuffs. Will put them together again for a bit longer tomorrow. I used a separate pen with clean towels and hay so neutral to both. Would appreciate if Wiebke could advise me whether it would be best to bath the brother before putting him back with his siblings, to remove as much of the single boy's scent as possible? The brothers are back together now and the single boar happily munching away next door!

Thanks folks. I think it is more nerve wracking for me than the pigs themselves! I had one of the RSPCA centre staff with me yesterday( they are their pigs I am fostering) as it was first mix and I wanted moral support in case things went pear-shaped. Have just cleaned them out and all seem happy, so roll on second round this afternoon.
