I have got two 17 day old boars, tonight they have been continuously taking it in turns to mount their mother. She is getting very annoyed by their behaviour. They weigh 291g and 302g. Is there any possibility they could be fertile already, I really don't want another pregnancy.

I believe three weeks is the minimum to become fertile but piggies also need milk for 3 weeks ... but somebody with more knowledge than I will answer you better

Thanks, I'm just panicking as they are rumbling so much and they won't leave her alone.

Yes boars can be fertile from around 3 weeks. Once they are over 200g it's safe to ahve them away from Mum. Please seperate the boys asap as they could potentially get their mum or sisters pregnant again.

I'm sure someone else will also confirm this for you.

I've already sent her a message earlier in the week about one of the little boars from the other litter. He was too small to be separated with the other boys. In the reply Suzy said not to separate before 21 days but these two are at it like mad tonight and I would hate for Seren to get pregnant again.

Drop suzy a text give her a phone if you're worried but it sounds like they are good weights now and a little too interested in Mum to stay in much longer....

Thanks for the advice, I've phoned Suzy, she thinks that they are acting like this because mum is in season and they are fine to stay with her till day 21.
