well my baby jasper may have to be taken away from lily tonight because hes trying to mount her and making helicopter noises.. is it safe for him to be taken away this young.. although he only had till tuesday with her

help please :)

i want to do whats best for him but i just need reasurance that taking him away will be ok..

If your baby boar is trying to mount any females, I would recommend that he is seperated to save any further pregnancies. Although he is under the 3 weeks, I have read of other litters where the boars have started mounting earlier.

thanks for that.. i just needed abit of reasurance that i was doing the right thing

good job ive had the cage ready for a few days.. ive just got to swap him
ive even got a teddy picked out especailly for him to snuggle upto

Will he be on his own? Either way, I'd just recommend that you keep a close eye on him and his weight to make sure he's eating once he's away from mum. If he's alone, he might not eat because his mum isn't there to feed from and if he isn't on his own, the older piggy might be eating it all before he gets a chance to eat much.

Also, don't be alarmed by a lot of squeaking when he is taken away from mum, mine did A LOT for the first few hours xx

yes he will be on his own =/ just until hes old enough to be neutered though.

i weigh them everyday.. so ill just keep doing so and keep an eye on his weight
