Is this normal? My Boar Teddy does this when he smells girls so does this mean my baby pig is coming into sexual maturity already? Should I separate him already? He is following the girls but not mounting them yet.

How much does he weigh? I tend to separate baby boars as soon as they start rumbling, as long as they're a healthy weight and you've seen him eating and drinking independently.

It is a bit early, but we have heard of boy pups doing this from around two weeks onwards!

Mummy will come into season again from 15-17 days after giving birth. Also he not very likely to mate with her - yet, the small chance is there.

I haven't seen him drink yet but he is a nice weight i'll check right now....230 g, thats good for his age right? Thats not to say he isn't drinking I just haven't seen him yet

He's HUGE for 13 days! No wonder, he's at it so early on!

230g is a good weight for a month old baby!

Some boars are naturally bulky. It is normally those ones which will start to become hormonal early. If he shows any other signs such as climbing on the sows or see the sows spray anywhere (this means they are telling him to go away) then it may be a good idea to consider seperating him.

They were really big when they were born too. This is him the day after he was born I think Moo was late having them or something. He's the brown one ;D I was thinking of naming him Carrot Cake but Carrot for short

They were probably like twice the size of Mocha's babys when they were born.

These are mochas the day after they were born

I could hold them both in 1 hand easily but I couldn't with Moo's, so do you figure its ok to separate him now then?

Off Topic: Do males spray too?

Yes, they do - a male sprays the lady he has designs on with his testosterone laden pee to mark her, and his interest in her to any potential rivals.
Girls, on the other hand, spray boy with urine to tell them - literally! - to p*ss off!

At the end of a lively season, ALL piggies can be downright yucky!
