Hi everyone
I've now got to face the fact that if things don't work out and Florrie and Inca don't get along with Puzzle and Bingo that they will have to be in pairs in separate cages. I've already got the C&C cage for Puzzle and Bingo - but ideally I need to get a 'shop bought' cage so I can have them in there when at friends if I'm away.

I've already got one 100cm cage which they are both in at the moment (it's not a practical size but unfortunately that is all I've got for the time being and it is only temporarily. I've got to leave it as long as possible before trying to bond them all again so that they can all forget about their previous fight. I will need another cage for when I'm not around and they are being looked after so ideally I want to get a 120cm that would be suitable for anytime. They'll obviously get lots of time out of the cage and the cage is basically just for overnight so I'm sure that a 120cm would be okay, opinions? They like jumping on their hideys too so I might build them a mezzanine/hidey and use it as a second level too.

So to cut all of my chat, I was just wondering about everyone's opinions and if you have any recommendations. I've been looking at the Skyline Maxi and Ferplast cages (looked on eBay, zooplus etc.). Preferably I'd like a cage with a smooth floor/bottom as the current one that Florrie and Inca are in has a floor with sort of plastic grills (hard to explain but nothing that will hurt their feet). I cover the bottom with newspaper + bedding anyway, but it isn't really raised at all. The floor of the cage (bit I was just trying to explain about) makes it really difficult to clean and means the base ends up with more stains.

I'm not really bothered whether the cage comes with hideys etc, just as it is 120cm and a decent quality!
Thanks :)

Some people happily keep pairs in 120s for a lot of time, just over night then its a perfect night house!

the maxi cage is super cheap :-) I personally like the ferplasts quality but libertas get good reviews too

I've had both the liberta 100 and 120 cages and they are by far my favourite, i've tried a ferplast but it was annoying with the patterned bottom, the liberta is flat, has a nice level with good enough space underneath that you can reach piggies well when you need to but it's dark enough for them to feel safe under, unlike the ferplast level where you have to take the cage apart to get the piggies out rolleyes
Liberta would be my recommendation i love the cage, all though the water bottle it comes with is a little naff but that doesn't really matter as I'm sure you have another :L
