It will be ours in June :o (how time flies) and am trying to think of something nice to do that day, that doesnt cost too much and will be rememberable!

Anyone got any ideas ? ((keeping it clean please ;D ;D ;D))

A nice day out, maybe? C: Where you can do a few events together, peaceful things - maybe like a picnic or going out for a meal, going somewhere special - nowhere posh, just somewhere nice and uplifting.

And congratulations for then! With so much divorce and whatnot going around, it's certainly something to be proud of.

It is tin for 10 years, some bright spark has suggested we go to Cornwall and visit a tin mine. :D.

It cant be anything too expensive as we have so many things 'cooking' for this year. Would be nice to mark the day though with something to remember it by.

I did suggest we go stay in the hotel we got married at for the night in the honeymoon suite again. :-*.

We did one of those scenic wedding hotel do's which was lovely. So maybe we could do that. Only thing with that now though is we live 2 miles away from it and pass it regularly.

I love the idea of going back to the same hotel. Even if it is only 2 miles away, it'll still be lovely. No washing up. The clean up fairy will come to your room and make the bed for you. Perfect.

I also like the Cornwall idea too though ;D

Not sure where you live, but how about styaying in a haunted castle :D

Chillingham Castle

We've staed here a few times and it is fabulous...scary, but great and with the right person, very romantic ;)

Have fun wherever you decide to go :)

Really like that idea :)

I must admit I quite fancy that one too. :-* With all the mad day of the wedding being held there and the nights do and drinking etc... I would say we didn't really get to appreciate the nights stay at the hotel. By the time I had come out the bathroom after having a relaxing bath in the spa bath, my new hubby was fast asleep...zonked out and out for the count! ;D ;D ;D ;D.

It was a lovely room & place.

We did get woken up in the early hours by some funny animal/ghosty thing.. frightened the life out of us.!

Going to see if I can find the place on the net now. ! ;)

Oooh I will have a look at that one too. Thanks for the link. :)

I love the castle idea but would have to unwrap hubby from my body if we heard any noises lol ours is 28 this july, time goes past so fast, for our 30th its also hubbys 50th birthday (OMG thats old) so we hope to go on a family cruise to med or canerys, but the haunted castle sound such fun

I am looking at the castle now and it looks lovely and scary too. LOL. Probably wont sleep a wink though. I am not sure whether I believe in ghosties or not! My sister is very much into the spiritual things though.

Know what you mean Michelle, the time goes by so quick. Its my hubby's 50th this year too, and have booked a suprise trip to New York for him and me of course... so the wedding thing has to not too expensive, as its costing me an arm and a leg for NY! :o

Chillingham Castle is really lovely, the apartments are basic, but lovely and clean. We have stayed in the Grey apartment which runs the length of the castle, it has a HUGE stone log fire, very atmospheric :)

You get up to your apartment via stone stairs of the tower, easy going up, harder coming down after a few glasses of wine :D
The ghost stories are all hyped up, but it's an interesting place and I believe something or things do linger there...

Chillingham...Most Haunted spent the night there and a mate from my workplace went on a weekend there

but how about a picnic on a deserted beach watching the sunrise or sunset ( if we ever have those)

sitting on a beach in middle of summer in the evening is wonderful they've got a beach bar now as well, quite and peaceful ahhh but if you did it now you would be at risk of cliff falls and rough seas,

that sounds nice too... although we don't have a very high success rate with sunny beach days on our anniversary. The last time we did something to celebrate it was a few days in Cornwall. On the trip down we were stuck on M5 for 6 hours due to a fatal car crash further down, so we didn't arrive at our B&B till midnight. :o. We were supposed to be there about 6pm! Felt really bad, as it was a working farm B&B and they waited up for us. We did ring and and let them know what was happening and they were OK, but still felt bad.

It was before the time of sat navs too... so we got lost a few times trying to find the place! that was most stressful.

I had visions of us sleeping in the car on Bodmin moor...and thats a spooky place.! LOL.

The next day we went off to visit Lands End and it was fogged in... ;D ;D ;D and this was the middle of JUNE!.

Still we had a good laugh and a nice time regardless of the delays, the fog and hubbys kidney stones playing up. :D
