Are these too small? I can better afford 100's but wondering if you think this is too small?
Do any of you house your GP's in 100's?
I do have space for 120's but just thinking about cost. I know that bigger is better though...thanks! x

You're right bigger is better, I'm pretty sure ours is the ferplast 100 and I really wish I hadn't thought about price as I think the 120 should be the absolute minimum. We brought it as inexperienced first time piggy owners in january and have already ordered some C&C grids and correx in order to build our own 2 storey cage as its simply not big enough even for 2 girls. Basically Bumble is too cuddly and Bea can't get away from her in this cage so there are a few little scraps (Bea pushes bumble off with her foot and causes damage).

We'll be keeping the 100 cage as it'll do for short term fostering and for keeping Peter in after we have him neutered until he goes in with our girls but I wouldn't recommend it as a long term solution

120 x 60 ( 4'x2' ) is the recommended minimum for a pair of piggies.

Oooo Very exciting, I think 120 is best :)!

Does this mean you'll be looking for some rescue pigs too? How Exciting. The rescues are booming just now. I think some homes are much needed!

Good luck xx

The Range sells 119cm x 59cm cages, comes with water bottle & hay rack they were £39.99 but may have gone up now.

I started out with an 80cm (PAH sale mallethead), then quickly moved to a 100cm, then 120cm and am just about to move to a C&C cage as they grow, I wuldn't waste your money with the 100cm as you'll soon end up thinking they need more room!

Yep check the one Trieste said. :) It's way cheaper than most 100cm ones in pet shops that I've seen :)

I think it might be worth getting a big cage at first, because otherwise when you get the guinea pigs, you might end up wanting a bigger one and getting it later, costing you twice as much.

I started out with a 100cm cage for Bradley and Barney when they were babies, then I upgraded to a hutch and small run combo before getting their corner cage from zooplus. They will be getting upgraded again soon to a 7ft x 4ft "cage", all it is really is a huge metal run with a door and roof and it only costs £55 which is a lot cheaper than cages half the size, all I will have to do is add sides to the run to prevent piggy poops from going everywhere. :))

I really would recommend getting a large cage to begin with as it will save you a lot of money in the end, as much space as you can give them really. :)
