So stupid question but better safe than sorry. I got prescribed 0,44ml metacam for dogs, my piggys weight is about 800g.
I got 1ml syringes, so I guess it is meant 0,4ml + 4 lines?

Hello - I would double check with your vet. It sounds like quite a dose for a small piggie but also depends on the pain and problem.
I have a 1.2kg piggie that’s 8 months old. He’s currently been treated for bumble foot and he’s on the cat and guinea pig metacam 0.25ml.
But I did have a 1.4kg piggie that was in chronic pain towards the end of his life and he was on 1.5ml cat and guinea pig Metacam.
Take what I say with a pinch of salt as I’m no expert and I’m sure someone else could comment but it just feels like a big dose for a little one.
Yes you’re right re measuring. It would be just under half the syringe worth. Bit hard to see but I’ve added a photo

Yes that is the measurement mark for what you have been prescribed.
If you are concerned about the amount then do speak to your vet. Dog metacam is three times stronger than cat. We do see dog doses of 0.4ml for a 1kg piggy though
