dog urine

Hello, I don't even count as a newbie owner yet as I don't get my piggies until next week, but was wondering about dog urine on our lawn. I have read it is bad for guinea pigs, but not sure if that is only fresh dog urine? Also would rain (or spray from the garden hose) be enough to make it...
